Pastor Mark Begins a New Series

There is just south of Salt Lake City in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah a 106-acre aspen grove that is getting a lot of attention these days. This particular grove of aspen is considered to be the largest single organism on earth. Let me explain...

Although we see a forest of individual, white-barked trees, aspens actually all grow from the root of a single tree. They are all connected! So this grove in Utah is actually 47,000 offshoots of a single individual. It is not a 106-acre grove of trees but a 106-acre tree!

One tree!

In their own way, they dwarf the sequoias and redwoods which get all the glory.

It's the same in the Body of Christ. While it appears the Body is made up of millions of individuals, we are actually one -- offshoots from the same root, Jesus -- his Body!

Our new Sunday series will take a deeper look into what it means to be the Body of Christ and how each one of us are uniquely designed to be a part of it. We hope you will join us on Sunday's at Covington Community Church as we grow into One.
